Volunteer to Start Something
What if every child finished high school, went to college or university, got a job and gave back to our community? Wouldn't that be something?

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle 'Once in a Blue Moon Mid-summer Party' held on July 31st was a night to remember! The celebration was held at the spectacular Georgian Hills Vineyards. Guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening of food, drink and dancing under a full, blue moon.

"Once in a Blue Moon" Mid-Summer Party was a HUGE success.  Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the community, we not only met our fundraising goal, but doubled it! "Thank you to one and all for making this inaugural event one to remember!", says board member and event chair Catherine Smart.

Guests enjoyed a fantastic venue, fabulous food catered by Oliver & Bonacini, an impressive live and silent auction along with entertainment provided by local band 'The Bored of Education'.

Rod Brown, Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni commented "As a former Little, it was an honour to be part of such a magical evening. The community support from across the region was absolutely overwhelming, and certainly bodes well for the 2nd annual event next year".

We would especially like to thank our Presenting Sponsor, TD Bank Group for all their support, along with Media Sponsor, 102.9 The New Classical.
